This is a big central park in Gaoxiong we went to last P-day.

Hello everyone! I love you all so much.

We’ve had another incredible week here in QiShan. We see so many miracles every day. I am just so grateful for the opportunity to serve here as a missionary. There is nothing better than this work.

This week I’ve gained a big testimony of back up plans. SO many times this week, our front up plan fell through, but our back up plans brought a lot of miracles. We found a lot of new people willing to listen to the gospel and it was a great testimony builder to me that Heavenly Father will always place people in our path.

Here’s a miracle for you. I actually forgot to mention it last week. It was the day that we went out to Neimen and then we went out to XiZhou in the afternoon. We were all over the place all day. And then at the very end of the day, we were tracting some houses back in central QiShan. Then we went to get on our bikes and my front tire was dead flat. And instead of being up in the mountains like we had been all day, we were right next to the bike shop that the recent converts in our ward own. What a fantastic miracle! Turns out a stick had managed to get into my tire and popped the tube. But, Du Dixiong fixed it no charge. It was just such a miracle that we ended up there at that point of the day. It would have been a lot harder anywhere else.

Fu Jiemei and her family are still progressing along. They are so incredible. On Wednesday we taught the Sabbath Day and she was so willing. She and Jia Xiang have both been super great about reading their scriptures every day and I just love them! On Saturday she called us and told us that her baby had a fever and so we weren’t able to meet that day and we were pretty scared that they wouldn’t be able to come to church yesterday either, but they did! And they all came in their Sunday best as well. We mentioned when we taught the Sabbath about church dress, and Fu Jiemei said that she didn’t own a skirt or anything, but already, they made that change! They’re such a cute wonderful family and I love them.  I love watching the impact every little change they make has on their family.

This week we started teaching another Fu family! They live on the same road as Fu Jiemei. We think they’re related, but we’re not super sure yet. They are super cool. There’s a high school girl, her older brother and their cousin. We taught them the first lesson this week and they were really willing. The brother had a lot of great questions about baptism. We are really excited to keep working with them.

Last night we found an incredible new investigator. She’s only 14 and she was one of the most humble people and willing people I have ever taught. She already has a lot of faith. We found her because her parents had previously investigated the church. We shard the message of the Restoration with her last night. She was so struck by Joseph Smith’s first vision- especially when we brought up that she is that same age as he was. She really wants to know if it’s true. At the end of the lesson she gave the most incredible and simple first prayer. She had never prayed before, yet she had so much trust in Moroni’s promise and simply told Heavenly Father that she’d really like to know if what we shared with her is true. I gain a stronger conviction of that promise every day. I really do know that everyone can receive that answer if they are willing to pray and ask.

With every new move call, I choose kind of a theme scripture. For this move call, I have chosen Doctrine and Covenants 123:17. I love Joseph Smith’s counsel to the Saints as he encourages them to “cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.” I have discovered so much joy in this work as I truly cheerfully do all that is within my power and see the joy that the gospel brings to these wonderful people.

There are bunch of funny scarecrows out everywhere now. I have no idea why.

Love you all! Have a wonderful week.
